I don't read enough papers to know if the issue has already been addressed. And having the schools assign the students to segregated dorms if they do not want it, is wrong (under the current law). On the other hand, if people want to live with a particular group, I think they have every right to do that. I am more iffy on it in an educational setting- but the data from boys only schools, and girls only schools, makes me think we might need to be more flexible in this area than we have been.

I am not sure it is wrong for the Colleges to set up themed dorms as long as students have choice. If the students self select, in order to be segregated, that is simply serving the consumer. If they are forced to segregate, or desegregate- you need to ask yourself why you are forcing that. The whole issue is rather complex.
