A comparison between Dell and MSFT is completly unfair. Microsoft is in the software business and is by far the dominant player- the dominant player in the world. Lets look within Dells industry. Compared to CPQ, GWK, or HWP, Dell has been perfroming better than all of them. Faster profit growth, biggest increases in market share, etc. Now I would hear the argument that the whole PC industry is moving a little too fast now. I too am worried about the high PE, but so long as Dell keeps beating earnings, I dont see why this cant continue. I forsee a slight pullback in the next few months, but Im not going to bail out until I see that trend.
