All networks underreported the numbers, and the mistakes coincidentally were always in the direction of minimizing the demonstrations.
TILT! BS detector went off.

The media generally is no friend of the gov't. Much of it despises Bush. Why report low demonstration numbers?

I've seen several demonstrations in the area where I live. The numbers reported were in the low hundreds to low thousands. That definitely matched my impression. They were small- -not like the masses that could be gathered for the Vietnam demonstrations. Apparently most people simply are not against the war enough to show up.

Remember the WTO demonstrations in Seattle? Those were reported as large and destructive. Not small and picayune.

vote-counting fraud
An old American tradition. It's not how you vote that counts, it's how the votes are counted. Remember JFK? Defeated Nixon because of Illinois electoral votes. Won Illinois because of Chicago's votes. Which were highly suspect. Mayor Richard Daley, of 1968 Democratic Party Convention fame, ran the show. The Democrats in FL badly hurt themselves by hauling his son in to help out there. The first theing that crossed people's mind was "fraud".
