That's BS, because the vast majority of NRA members are just little people who like to shoot and realize there are too many people like you trying to keep them from it. They realize that if they value their natural rights that are protected under the Second Amendment, they can't just sit around and take it. They have to do something, and they do. Almost to a person, they have an NRA bumper sticker proclaiming their membership. The NRA has a very high rate of life membership, which is not exactly cheap but well worth the cost. The NRA is a true grassroots organization of the highest order. Gun manufacturers usually support the NRA, but Smith and Wesson found to its dismay that the wrath of NRA members can be fierce indeed when it tried to violate the principles that we believe in. It finally came to its senses, sold itself back to American soil and is now on the mend.

Heck when I lived in Oregon the pastor of my church proudly sported an NRA sticker on his pickup.
