Hi Chris

You have me confused too. Do you own stock or calls or both??

The put activity could be sells. Meaning traders are betting the deal DOES happen and the stock will rise.

You too could buy puts to protect your position as well. It depends on how much you've got invested to protect, from a serious downside move. Sounds like you have a little too much money on the table.

You can protect yourself, no matter what. But Chris if your nervous just exit the position and move on down the line to your next best trading idea. There are plenty of hot stocks out there to play with I assure you. Anyway Hope this helps Good Luck Jerry
