I'm in the software industry...just took a job with another start-up...was off for 4 months looking...played in the intrusion detection area for a while...too many small companies...major consolidation taking place...the buyers only want reputable names...and friends with those big names concur -- business is waning fast...yet, they are too afraid to tell management the truth... and the management (of these publicly traded companies) are still drinking the cool-aid...believe all is well...get's into my thesis...IN THE HIGH TECH WORLD, THE MORE NAIVE YOU ARE, THE HIGHER YOU WILL GO...
