Some friends of mine took money from savings a couple years ago and bought a chunk of CSCO at $78. They are still holding all the shares they bought. That wasn't "funny money" for them. It was hard-earned cash that they have seen go to money heaven through the actions of others who have set the price of CSCO. There are many more people in the same boat than there ever were shorts in CSCO.
