I watched a program on France 2 the other night about how the public opinion was swayed right before the Gulf war with false testimonies in UN about Iraqis throwing prematurely born babies on the ground in a hospital to steal their life support systems, and how a similar system of deceit is in place to build public support for the invasion of Iraq, regardless of what inspectors find. Most interesting was the lies of Bush/Blair about some institute saying Iraq was 6 months from building a nuclear bomb (later denied by the institute) and Bush going on national TV about how Saddam beheads opponents and rapes their wives (US officials said they thought he was beheading and raping people but they did not know that and they found it strange that Bush should say so on TV) They are hell bent to have a war I know. It is scary, actually. I will send the link if I can
