What: Research Frontiers (NASDAQ:REFR) will debut "Smart Windows" for the
first time ever in the U.S. at SPIE 97.
Research Frontiers, in partnership with Hankuk Glass Industries, Korea's
largest glass company, will introduce a revolutionary new window, that
utilizes the company's proprietary SPD (suspended particle technology),
allowing users to electronically and precisely control the passage of
light, without the need for blinds.
Benefits of this life-enhancing new technology include: energy
conservation, blockage of harmful UV rays, aesthetic and privacy
considerations -- all at a fraction of the cost of similar technology.
This same technology will soon be applied to products such as glasses and
sporting goggles,computer screens, rear view mirrors and sunroofs.
When: July 27 - August 1, 1997
Where: Hankuk Booth No. 1209, at the SPIE Show (The International Society
for Optical Science, Engineering and Instrumentation) in San Diego,
California at the San Diego Convention Center, 111 West Harbor Drive.
