Due to relative size and relative military/economic power, and relative inclinations toward domination, we tend to view ourselves on the most superficial level in a reactive rather than proactive manner - by definition, we are americans who are not US nationals ... and north americans who are not US nationals, right next door, across a line which, by Euclid's definition of the term 'line', has no width to it .... but there is depth to it, mon ami, you betcher boots there is depth to it -
