Dave:

I was bullish and made money on calls, WTC, CBD, BAY, GLG, GG and a few others. However, this time I am cautious and suspicious of the move and not heavily weighted. My reasons are as follows:

1. While gold is near new highs for year, most Gold stocks are not.
2. My underlying technical indicators are not bullish, although they are ever so slightly improving.
3. Commercials are bearish.
4. Public is bullish.

Doesn't sound like a blast off situation to me. I need to see something to get me in.

Last year everything was the opposite, gold stocks were leading the way and every day another stock broke important resistance. Commercials were bullish and public was bearish at the beginning of the move. The sentiment on this thread was one of despair at the beginning of that move.

Nothing about this move up feels like a new bull. I suspect we are going to be disappointed this time and maybe that is what is needed to wash out the weak hands and set the stage for the move up.

Any way, I am not excited about near term prospects. But I am watching and looking for some evidence of a move in either direction.
