I have VP181's, which just recently have been discontinued. I paid $3,400 for each back in early 2000. Last price I saw for them was $850 or so. As an investment they've outperformed Intel! ...before taxes! Besides being all digital, I sure like the pivot ability. I love 'em. No plan to change them out.
