I’ll be there, my darling
Alone, in the moonlight of surrender
With dreams of a lifetime braided into my hair
And the scent of my desires to fill the empty spaces between us.

I’ll be there
My hands calloused with rigors of household chores
They write your name everywhere a thousand times each day.
And tonight they’ll slip into yours in silence and comfort of a deeper commitment
While my oft broken heart sings a melody for you in the a language that needs no words.

I’ll be there,
With wrinkles of devotion etched onto my timeworn face,
And the moments of blessedness stolen from the keepers of our destiny
We’ll dry-press them into the pages of your favorite book
And turn them into keepsakes - happy memories for a rainy day.

Yes, I’ll be there, my darling,
To let our togetherness lead the way…....
