Bernanke comments - I don't think the printing press remarks are to reassure debtors that they will be bailed out, than to reassure the creditors that their debtors will be able to pay them. It's much better to get 90% of your purchasing power in infalted dollars than to get 50% or less after a bankruptcy sale...especially with a 12% interest rate over a number of years, a small infaltion hit is a minor problem. On Pears - Are the TianJin pears availible in California ? I have a relative who loves pears....
