It does indeed seem very convenient. But my guess is that the Bush team is not exactly without evidence concerning both Saddam's WMDs and Iraqi-AQ connections. I mean, we both know it's true, surely they have have found something by now. If that's so, when would we begin to see the evidence? Starting about now sounds right to me, in the final stages of the military build up. They have to read the Iraqi documents before they decide what to say about the WMDs, so maybe we'll see evidence of that in a week or two.

Call it convenience by design.
