As for "American allies", hmm, I guess "the allies" are terribly stupid then, since they are objecting with all they've got against the benevolent protection of the US?

But then again, the "American allies" also objected to Reagan standing up to the Soviets. As a matter of fact, Reagan was the original "dumb, stupid, warmongering, evil, stupid American President." As opposed to Bill Clinton, whom they loved, who didn't really do a damn thing to make Americans any safer. That seems to be the European model. Do nothing, hope it goes away. Or at least leaves me alone.
