There is just too much talk of a rally to end the year....just way too much.

I really doubt that the pension or mutual funds are going to fall for it this time..at least not to the same degree.

Mutual funds know that if they are buying it should be for the long term as that is usually their objective. They are not going to sell mid January, positions that are accumulated now. Therefore, I don't believe they will be biting this time around. Believe it or not, I think that a certain percentage of them are getting smarter now.

The lack of buying will make traders that have bet on this year end surge very nervous and then we get the plunge!
also noticed gold stocks surging..and the economic numbers this morning did nothing for the USD..that is an important indicator as I see it.

JMHO

btw-I am going to buy some of those March 2003 QQQ puts throughout the day..in small transactions.
