I was rattled by the posts Roll presented. How can we achieve rationality with a group that fabricates reality. The posts presented indicate that the Islamic fundamentalist, whose numbers are very large, are living in a different world than I. How can we reason with them?

BTW, Mike, I have never been offended by Z's posts. She represents a legitimate, mainly European, view.. When I talk to my European friends, it seems that they have experienced the destruction and futility of war, and they want any other solution. They are also wary of the USA after some of our shennanigans in S and Central America. and especially after the debacle of Viet Nam. Altho I don't agree with them--or Zonder--in terms of solutions, we live on the same planet and we share profound values so they can't be dissed-- in the way that you diss Zonder.

I have not heard from you or Zonder or Roll any approaches to dealing with an intransigent foe who is determined to kill civilians. What would you do if you were Bush?

I can elaborate more in what I would do --and I wouldn't give Yemen the missles back-- but I want to hear from you. I also thought it revealing that Cheney, and not Bush, made that decision. Where the hell does a VP get authority to make a decision of that magnitude?

I do apoligize for calling Bush a moron. Thanks for pointing that out to me. I do feel he talks too strong and acts too weak.

I am especially interested in what Zonder would do since the rest of us mainly agree that force is necessary.
