Look into Israeli/Palestinian conflict, America's unconditional financial aid to Israel, the decade-long Iraqi sanctions enforced by Americans, etc

Meanwhile, our even more unconditional aid to Egypt, the PA and Jordan, many pro-Muslim policies (think Kosovo), and the entire year 2000 drop into the memory hole, while "Muslims around the world", who have not suffered at all from US policies, focus obsessively on Israel and Iraq. This is known is very selective focus. It also suggests that a mere US change of policy won't change anything. Did the Muslim world even notice when George Bush openly supported a Palestinian state? No, we "unconditionally" support Israel, meaning, I suppose, that we refuse to help Hamas wipe Israel off the map.

In the world of politics, the Arab world in general and the Palestinians in particular have made a career of punishing their Western supporters because they don't think they are getting "justice". Look at the rewards Clinton reaped when he went to bat for Yasser Arafat! You keep doing that, and your supporters may decide to bestow their support on more grateful objects.
