Great news! Thanks for posting. If this inner-city application works well for EVI and VLNC, it will be a huge market competing with natural gas-powered engines, not only in US but also major, congested cities abroad: Japan, Europe, Asia, China, etc. where public transport is common.
US oil companies are positioning themselves for this market: hydrogen, natural gas, battery, fuel cells, etc. Battery power helps with emissions too. Cities can reduce emissions (particulates, NOx, etc.) from their diesel powered vehicles.
Good move because a direct deal with the vehicle manufacturer could potentially reduces the cycle time - time to market, instead of going through a consortium like USABC.
