this "cold war thing" that you talk about, regardless of which side you're on, killed millions around the world. i for one, come from a country that suffered from the US' foreign policy of permitting the murder of a democratically elected prime minister, undermining UN efforts to promote peace, and supported a brutal dictator for 32 years with military, political, and financial support that made him a fortune worth 12b dollars.

like israel, the US turns a blind eye towards rwanda's (post genocide, tutsi) government's foreign occupation and looting of resources. it provides rwanda with aid all while it is an oppressor of the neighbouring congo. meanwhile, it slaps an embargo on zimbabwe. i'm not saying zimbabwe's government is good, but its no worse than rwanda.
