I think someone got it about right on Lott, he's unable to resist pandering to his audience and maybe a little too vain to realize that the innuendo of his comments sometimes have some bad mojo attached. But it's his habit and his style and like his "big hair", difficult for him to change. He should admit these flaws and step aside. If he's the best the Republicans have then the leadership problem pre-dates his recent gaffe.
