I think you're probably right. While we've disagreed about the economic mess Bush inherited, there can be no disagreement that Bush inherited the worst foreign policy crisis of modern times.

He would have been better off walking into the middle of the Cuban Missle Crisis than the mess Clinton handed him in the Middle East.

I'm sorry.......but isn't that what Bush has been doing for the past year +; threatening force 24/7?

Yes. And we now AT LEAST have weapons inspectors back in Iraq, which is the BEGINNING of straightening out one of the biggest bungles of the Clinton administration.

This isn't complicated.

It really isn't. Under Clinton there were eight years of idle threats, selling our sovereignty to other nations, and "negotiating" with nations where you have NO teeth to back up your position. Stupid amateurish mistakes. As a result, the mess is very tough to clean up. Seems pretty straightforward to me.
