Hello Current Trend, <<IS CHINA'S ECONOMIC BOOM A MYTH?>>
You have commented on this piece before, and so you must know the answer by now. What do you think?
For me, yes, it is a myth and so worried folks should stop worrying.
I did not see any massive civil works built and in process to supply the needs of allegedly rapidly growing industrial manufacturing with possibly enslaved and down-trodden labour feeding on toxic fish out of fatally polluted rivers horribly steamed with ginger and soya, followed by imported Australian lobster served in cruel barbaric sashimi style.
The government is lying about the state of banking, economic stats, and in cooperation, the factories, including VW, GM, IBM, NEC, Hitachi, Sony, Matsushita, Cisco, GE, ... BP, Shell et cetera, ad infinitum, ad nauseam so on and so forth are all lying about their output, resulting in bottom-up and top-down myth-making, leading to FDI surging past all countries, bar none, with all comers wanting to lose their shirt, pants, socks, and sanity.
The people are really unhappy, wanting to over-throw the officialdom, unable to buy all the apartments that are being built everywhere for no good reason, financed by banks supported by the government printing press, even as Chinese tourism to Paris surged past American tourism to same city, spending twice as much on daily average, not wanting to buy the best per CB standard.
Bottom line, China will fall apart due to its own weight, and all the terrible leadership mistakes made since 1982, or 1482, or 982, or 482, or gad, BC 1482. Its existence for the past 4000 plus years is an accident, due to its stupid people and their inability to learn, innovate, work, save, and learn some more.
Now, tell me what do you think?
Chugs, Jay
P.S. and one more thing, when folks make money in Asia, they tend not to talk about it, so as to facilitate keeping same. When people tell you how much they are making, they do so for a reason, you know, like Cisco, Lucent, Enron, ... AOL, ... home owners wanting to borrow from the bank.
I understand some people believe what they are told without exercising critical and logical faculty, and I also understand some people prefer to believe. |
