Fred, All these disparate things going on leading to a sea change in the region. One of my earlier theories had US Iraq policy as really cover for covert action in Iran. If Iraq really is a box, it certainly is more in a box now with inspectors. They may have biochem weapons but are in no position to use them while they shuck and jive with the US/UN/Russia/France maneuvers. Iran is trickier. There are no inspectors and their desire for nukes goes back quite a ways. But the regime is on the verge of falling as well. Add North Korea to the mix and you can see that the "Axis of Evil" lingo was no misstep at all. 3 regimes must fall and fall they will all differently and in their own time. Actually NK might really be the most dangerous place short term. Lashing out might be coming next and the US is always vulnerable with our troops on the border. Also the anti-american attitude in SK from that horrific accident/stupidity we engaged in makes things even more unstable. I understand the bit of fear you showed yesterday in your terror prediction/guess. I feel that every day as i drive by the WTC site. It may get worse before it gets better. But I have confidence in our leadership team and after 9/11 I know in my heart that the strength of the US nation is not only in military might. Thats why we beat the Nazis and Japanese. Thats why we will win this time. Dont listen to Zonder too much Fred. She reminds me of Tokyo Rose. OTOTOT America is in need of political realignment of some type. The Lott affairs proves that the Republicans are beholding to the far racist right for those few votes that put them over the top. The Democrats are beholding to the Fascist Left(have fun with that term) who will mostly keep them out of power. We are a nation ruled by moderates but perhaps beholding to extremists. What ever happended to Scoop Jackson Dems or Rockefeller Republicans. Answer: Both driven out of their parties by non-inclusion in decision making. Figured i would give a great mind like yours something to think about for the weekend. Mike PS Finally found Zonders dolphin post. So she is from Miami--well that explains it all.
