you're in the position of asserting that we should ALLOW Americans to die, in massive numbers, before acting. That is unconscionable.

And KILLING non-Americans, "in massive numbers", is OK? That is "conscionable"?

Karen's post referred to Bush saying he had nothing against using nukes. If you believe nuking civilians in Iraq and risking nuclear fallout in neighbouring countries is going to make Americans safe, you need to examine your premises. And if you think such an act is "conscionable", I don't know what you need to do. Perhaps suffer a little yourself to understand what suffering is and why it is A Bad Thing even for non-Americans.
