who cares about all that. THe fact of the matter is he was one of the original that in 1956, Fulbright was one of 19 senators who issued a statement entitled the "Southern Manifesto."

and the bottom line is clinton called him a great American and his mentor......now....either men can say things honoring service of other men or they cannot, same as Lott, same as Byrd..

PS: I do not care if the Republicans toss Lott for another leader, what I care about is the Democrats being HUGE hypocrites, and playing politics with this. BTW, did you know the ""Black" caucus did everything possible to keep JC Watt out of their little club??
