Regarding your 'chitlins experience': just about anything can taste good with enough hot sauce... but I'll take your word on the chitlins, just like I'm also not going near scrapple, and if I find myself in Scotland one day I don't think I'll be ordering the haggis.

I'll try most things though. As a child I had a 'crazy' uncle who traveled the World as a translator, and sent me odd food items from where ever he was. So I'm familiar with the taste of smoked octopus, whale blubber stew, kangaroo tail soup, etc.

Guess that prepared me for Cajun cooking... which often features the "road-kill du jour".

(In the 'small World' department... I've been in Woodbridge too. I lived in that neck of the woods - Manassas/Prince William/No.Va/D.C. for quite a spell.)
