The disease of this government has been around since Nixon
Uh, I'd suggest a seance with a history book. The FDR administration conducted secret trials AND EXECUTIONS. The LBJ administration spied on domestic anti-war groups. It didn't start with Nixon by any means.

Oh, and Honest Abe suspended habeas corpus just as soon as the first cannonball hit Fort Sumter.

Certainly Clinton didn't antagonize Islamist terrorism with "Crusade" talk
DAMN! We better dig up Ike and shoot him! He used the word "crusade". As in "Crusade in Europe".
Cut the crap. It's an English word. A common one. If they choose to feel insulted, that's their problem. Yours is to find a charge that amounts to something.

Other presidents have not claimed Divine authority to collect all civilian information for domestic espionage, or create tribunals using secret information and "sneak and peek" laws, threaten to jail librarians for disclosing book lists.
The Patriot Act has got to go.

<<A democracy that cannot withstand lying and distortion on the part of the gov't has no chance. >>
< Now, that's an interesting position to take.
If you think that through you'll soon be demanding ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY as well.>
Governments are going to lie. Get used to it.

1947 National Security Act -- however that Act is secret
You want it? Here it is. You have to do some digging. Try "Notes", then you have to put things together from there.

Taxes will rise without limit (in the guise of "debt" and "inflation")
Oh, geeSUS! Gimme a break. Taxes are taxes and inflation is inflation. If you're allowed to redefine words like that, I can prove Clinton is Osama bin Laden and did 9/11 because Bush outtricked him in 2000.
