Of course, we are disappointed to see the increased gap between rich and poor no matter who is President. The relevant point is what we are trying to do about that gap. Big tax cuts for the rich certainly add to the gap. Extending unemployment benefits, in a small way, would decrease that trend. Targeted tax cuts for the poor would help decrease that gap. Putting extra money in the hands of low income groups would help. Cracking down on tax cheats would help. On all of these issues, The Democrats have the advantage.
