By grateful do you mean that all Americans should condone the mass murder that went on in "Pinkville". Is it your belief that Hugh Thompson (and others) were liars and the boys were just defending themselves from an enemy attack and everyone should be grateful that they smoked those baby commies.

In order to be grateful do we have to praise those soldiers who lined up the people in a drainage ditch and shot them dead? Do we have to praise the cold blooded murder of a baby in a drainage ditch in order to be grateful? Should we put something in the Geneva Convention that allows soldiers to line babies up in a ditch and shoot them in the head? If that is what it takes to be grateful in your world then I will have to pass on that.
