ANyone going to be shopping this week end?

It's raining heavily in Northern California ( SF Bay Area)
so not too many shoppers out. Went into Macy's and they had lots of stock and BIG 40-50% markdowns already- signs of near panic in retail.

Of course, this may just be Silicon Valley. Would like comments from the rest of the country and world about retail sales.
