Re Mitchell, Kissinger...Anyone who would be appropriate to head an investigation such as this one for America, would have to have done something in his/her life, other than total government work. One of the family members of a 9-11 victim thinks that Slade Gorton has too many "aviation ties".... Kissinger and Mitchell have their own business as well. Just what would make someone want to do this job, when so many "know-nothings" on every side are throwing verbal rocks and knives...why should they? We get what we ask for...... Not to put too fine a point on it, but it would explain Byrd and Lott and what they are both doing in their respective positions.... We should be trying to encourage the Best of the Best, not the other way around.
