I'm a bit disappointed that you having been flailing at the keyboard over the unanimous opinion of the 9th circuit on the 2nd. The decision didn't surprise me as you might suspect, but the comment from the NRA attorney caught me off guard. "It's conceivable that the federal government can pass a law you can't own a gun," said Chuck Michel, an NRA attorney. He said the government could do so and, perhaps, defeat court challenges on grounds that the government "had a compelling interest to ban guns." He slipped up...the NRA knows that the 2nd doesn't guarantee an individual right to own a gun. Which, IMO, is why they haven't gone after the DC handgun ban or the federal assualt weapons ban. They're not confident they would win. The "gun nuts" of CA screwed up the whole sham by challenging the State Law. jttmab
