Roebear: Being originally from the midwest, I enjoy your weather forecasts. Your forecast of a large snow storm could be very true if the storm now moving through here (San Francisco) moves into your area. A fast jet stream (over 200 mph) is bringing the remnants of a big western Pacific typhoon and expectations are for over a foot of rain in this area and 7-8 feet of snow in the Sierra's. They may not actually get that much snow because the leading edge of the storm was warmer than expected and it rained all the way to the top of the Sierra's. But that will change today when the cold front moves through. (The atmospheric pressure here has now started to fall rapidly.)

Thanks again for your weather forecasts and comments.
