My friend Soros, you may find Romans 13 some comfort when considering the authority we find ourselves in subjection to.

"For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God."

So whether for our good or our condemnation we can rest assured Who actually chooses our Presidents. And knowing that, we can pray with confidence for these fallable men, which is in reality just agreeing with Providence.
