Foreign Maids March Against Hong Kong Tax

Foreign maids marched through downtown Hong Kong on Sunday to protest a proposed tax on the wages many use to support families in their home countries.

An estimated 2,000 maids, many wearing aprons and brightly colored hats, chanted as they marched nearly five miles from Victoria Park to government headquarters in downtown Hong Kong.
