your points are valid, mish. imo there is now enough mobility across the globe that the disparities will start to equilibrize. and i suspect our incomes will come down as much as "their" incomes rise. maybe more. nature hates imbalances. time to make like the australians and head for the beach until the rest of the world catches up. as a mega growth engine, tech is dead. vc money is already leaving the US for china where they produce more engineers in a year than the US produced in the past decade. biotech could take its place but as a society "we" have so many hangups about it that we're probably going to be left behind.
