now THAT is funny!
I like Dave Barry's sense of humor. IMO he has written some very funny columns in the past on various subjects.
I was thinking only the PC security companies were overvalued, these would be symantec, neta and trend micro.
Since 9/11 some of the security companies have been mentioned as ones that will benefit from the need for increased security, and Homeland Defense spending.
"Symantec (SYMC ) and Network Associates (NET ) are two companies that are well-positioned to be big security suppliers of choice for large enterprises," says Legg-Mason's Weller. One of the few analysts to see that Symantec's integration strategy was starting to pay off, Weller upgraded the stock in early October, when it was at $31. The security vendor then posted earnings for its second fiscal quarter, which ended in September, that far exceeded Wall Street expectations -- and the stock is now around $42, as of the closing bell on Nov. 18.
Symantec reported especially strong sales growth of Norton antivirus software to consumers, a market some analysts worry is reaching saturation. That's one reason Symantec's strategy, which will help it reach more corporate customers, is so important. "We're well on our way to integrating the technologies into our base product lines," says Symantec President and COO John Schwarz. "

And a recent article about SYMC:
"Symantec COO Predicts Solid 3rd-Quarter Results Wednesday December 11, 2:28 pm ET By Riva Richmond
NEW YORK -- Security software giant Symantec Corp. (NasdaqNM:SYMC - News) is expecting another good quarter when it reports results on Jan. 15, President and Chief Operating Officer John G. Schwarz told Dow Jones Newswires Wednesday."
