Well I guess "men and women" are finally getting together to outlaw war because we finally got "Orlando". Wow! What a film. Seen it last night with a little wine, watched it again this morning to get a clearer picture. <g> I just loved it. Even the soundtrack, going to try and find that too. The cinematography was fantastic. Winter scenes like we have here today. So I went out to shovel snow, <g> all the time thinking about it.
But anyway, it was a good thing for me to discuss Woolf with you a little for some background. All the mind bending things of importance are there, gender, time, sex, class, society, politics, etc. The parallels for today are also certainly present, "collecting countries" was a statement I heard.. <g>.. Probably for anytime though..
I would like to discuss this more with you but I have to go get ready for a visit to a Xmas open house this afternoon...
BTW, I agree when you said, main line video stores never keep anything worth renting on hand for very long. But they sure hell have all the old Bruce Willis crap.. We got it through our library system so we get to keep it for three weeks.. Probably have to see it again.
