One of the mumbles that came from Lott recently was that he wouldn't be able to step down from his leadership position without resigning from the Senate-an event that would put the count back to 49 Dems, 49 Republicans, and 2 retards (McCain and Jeffords).

Contrast that with Torricelli, who, essentially, vowed to cling to his seat despite being TOTALLY discredited, because the Senate control by the domestic enemy was so important to him-and you see the depth of Lott's stupidity and congenital cowardice...
