Hi Win Smith; Re: "Kissinger is probably more intelligent, rational, and realistic than anybody on the inside now, except for Powell maybe on the realism front."
Actually, that sounds like rather faint praise to me, LOL. I think Kissinger served his nation more or less well. As far as trusting him, of course not. No politician should ever be trusted.
More odd stuff: Beautiful snapshot of the Iraqi surrender of 1991 published by GlobalSecurity.org:
The photo [below] was taken on March 3, 1991, at Safwan, Iraq. Visible in the image are Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf, the commander in chief of US Central Command, along with Saudi Lt. Gen. Khalid Bin Sultan, commander of the Joint ArabIslamic Force, sitting next to him. Accross the table, facing them, are officers from the Iraqi delegation. globalsecurity.org

Dog saves girl in Jordan:
The truck driver told authorities that he was driving when the stray dog blocked his path, a second source told The Jordan Times.
“The driver told authorities he felt the dog wanted to tell him something and would not move until he got out of his vehicle to see what was the matter,” the source said, quoting the 42-year-old driver.
When the driver saw the injured child, he brought his truck around to take her to hospital, the source added, but was again obstructed by the dog.
“The dog would not move until he saw the man put the girl inside his truck. Then the dog disappeared,” the source explained.
The child, now recovering at Mafraq Government Hospital, informed authorities of the perpetrator's identity, explaining that her mother was at a ranch. jordantimes.com
