I was not throwing "shit" at you. I was just reminding you of an opportunity that you
chose to ignore but which is still available. It is quite remarkable how you would
choose to misinterpret my good intention not once but twice. Anyway, that is your
prerogative. I am spending precious time writing my response because I don't want
you to go away with the erroneous idea that there lurks a compulsive "shit-slinger" of a
Richnorth on SI! To be sure, there are not a few compulsive "shit-slingers" on SI but I
am certainly NOT one of them.
You accused me of writing long and irrelevant posts on the Bre-X thread. Don't you
think that that was a case of the kettle calling the pot black? My posts were
value-oriented posts in the sense that they offered viable alternatives to the desperate.
By contrast, the majority of the posts I saw on Bre-X in April were drivels betraying
the despair and helplessness of those being led to the "abattoir".
Regarding whether my investments topped your 30% gain, I have to say they probably
have done just as well or even better. I say this because I had invested heavily in
DELL which has doubled since late January 1997 and in Finance stocks such as
CMB, RNB, SEIC, CCR, and others such as HKT, CWP, TMK, AHP, INTC, and of course in the
Canadian stocks such as FORM, BNS, RY, FN, and EN most of which have
performed beyond anyone's expectations. GMD will. I am sure, do very well later on.
I wish to thank you for reposting my post to you several times. To be sure this will
have the effect of advertising the FORM and GMD stocks! and of showing what I am capable of writing.
I regret you reacted the way you did. Many years ago, I was given to understand that
Espanol or Latino types are by nature of a sunny, fun-loving, humorous and sporting
disposition even in the face of adversity. And they are ever so spontaneous in shouting
Arriba! and Ole! Could it be that I was misinformed or that there are exceptions, eh?
Remember, the immortal Shakespeare once wrote in AS YOU LIKE IT, "Nothing is
really good or bad/ Only thinking makes it so".
