I know what you say, but I disagree. You seem to think capital punishment is the perfect punishment for people who kill other people and you probably are very happy with your politicians who have enacted the death penalty laws....but that was wasn't what you wanted was it? You wanted an eye for an eye, the murderer drawn and quartered or hung from the nearest tree, every last one of them. What you got instead, is about 40 executions a year in the entire country and all by a nice comfortable needle in the arm....Doesn't that just piss you off no end?? We have about 25,000 murders a year in the country and your not even getting to see a l00 a year offed???? Doesn't seem fair does it??? No only that but there is a growing trend among the states to go even slower or suspend the penalty completely pending further study of the process... DNA evidence has cleared dozens of death row inmates...Don't you think the folks you voted for because they endorsed the death penalty have made an ass out of you???? I live in NY state....Pataki won the governor's job largely because he promised to bring us the death penalty....Now we all know NY has had at least a few murders but do you know how many murderers have been executed since the first Pataki election.....ZERO!!! NJ has had the penalty for more than 15 years....and the number of executions is......Zero!!!

You've been schnookered my friend.....and personally I think life in prison w/o parole is worse than the death penalty...
