Good morning Maurice, Remember this exchange?

Good afternoon, Maurice, <<... I see Au is at US$319 and it's nearly time for you to bet with Uncle Al KBE again>> Yes, the Force is strong this time, even as US share market is rising, the Dollar falls. Slightly out of the ordinary. Could it be nearly time for the reckoning ?

...
<<Please don't gloat>> Ok, I won't, but I am not in a hurry to start selling paper gold this time, just yet.

Having not added one iota to the welfare of my community or any other tribe, clan, village or shopping mall, I woke up and find myself wealthier yet again, as in once more.

I say, blessed are we the disciples of Aztec totem, to wake up, day after day, and find ourselves rewarded for having done absolutely nothing other than to believe in the empire of gold.

Then again, according to your hero, the benighted Sir Maestro Greenskaput, we are keeping central bankers honest to the maximum degree that they are ever capable of being so. This, in no small way, is a useful social political economic function.

Note to myself: the symptom of the disease is the same each and every time, when making profit, there is a great reluctance to realize that profit.

I find myself struggling with the idea of selling down my paper gold and trade

I believe gold is still in a channel, though possibly a considerably widened and upward leading one, and yet I have trouble selling the useless metal down, perhaps because paper money is even more useless.

Chugs, Jay
