Not formally. They were part of the weird "Gencell" alliance. RPR (now Aventis) was REQUIRED to pay their way in clinicals, and supported much of the lab research. Their burn was almost nil. But then Aventis elected to go year to year, and cut them loose instead of buying them. They tried to go public in '95 or '96 and didn't make it, while still a part of Gencell. Aventis was chomping at the bit to cut them loose, and I've just always wondered "why?".

Yeah, I know it's dumping "up there". It's tracking directly over us on the way. Mammoth, or are you heading to the refined, non-chic pastures?

:-)
