What poetry ? LOL! These are just words, some of them unedited...you're too kind, but i don't classify them as poems at all. I could be saying that to a friend about the Wisteria in my backyard.....one day, perhaps...
I am building my portfolio for admission to a postgraduate course and these days when I'm home, i spend most of my day spinning yarn, ie struggling to write short stories [what a great way to spend the day!!!!]. Hence the hotchpotch of grim, philosophical, light. They had better roll off my fingers, coz I already missed most deadlines and fellowships, and now the ones looming for submission of my manuscript are between Jan 15 - Feb 1. If i miss that, I'd have to wait a year....
Thankfully, I'm almost done....
Yep, I prefer poetry to fiction. Faster, cleaner and more meaningful. But its that much harder. Often i write a short story, ad then, dissatisfied by so many words, i turn it into a short poem. Always makes me feel nicer. I am bilingual and I write better in my own language. Well, one day, maybe....
