Hi BWAC,

They'll want you to think that, but in fact 0.0 became more doable with the last fed rate cut of 1/2 point.

Additionally the factory is slowly raising prices 1-2 times per year.

As rates begin to go up in 03 -it will eventually impact the cost of 0.0.

Overall sales are estimated to decline from 17 + million to 16.3 -16.5 million new units.

There is some concern once rates do go up if the buyers will sit tight in there 0.0 loan and not trade up.That worries me.To the degree that that does occur we'll see 0.0 offered for short time periods.

Hint for the yearend.GM has an all out push to move units in December. They want and are very close to 30.5 % market share. If that is attained GM will have turned the declining market share scenario.

They will have increased share for two years in a row - a feat not accomplished for over 26 years.

Bottom line - If you'd like something GM makes - wait until after Christmas - 0.0 and cash 500-1500 would not surprise me at all.

The selling time period after Christmas and before New Years is always a MAX aggressive time period for auto makers.
