CALGARY, Dec. 17 /CNW/ - Confirming airborne conductors, the ground survey found 4 conductors in the vicinity of the Jess Lake gold deposit. The ground magnetometer and V.L.F. survey was done by Ray Lashbrook, North Bay, Ontario, who says the conductors appear to be bedrock conductors.
A. Jones Lake Conductor - middle of Jones Lake, 65 meters (213 feet) west of the east shoreline. B. Jones Lake Conductor - 200 meters (656 feet) due north of Conductor A, 65 meters (213 feet) west of the east shoreline. C. Jess Lake Conductor - 200 meters north of Conductor B, 55 meters (180 feet) west of east shore of Jess Lake and 50 meters (164 feet) south of the Jess Lake gold deposit). D. Cobalt Hill Conductor - 60 meters (197 feet) west of Colbalt Hill (Cobalt Hill is 200 meters (656 feet) south and east of Jess Lake).
There are gold bearing sulfides, in intervals over 1 mile, from the Wolf Lake gold deposit, directly south to the Jess Lake gold deposit, and to the further south, adjoining Jones Lake. With the conductors located in this area of gold-bearing sulfides, Flag proposes to drill a 500-foot exploratory drill hole into each conductor. The Jess Lake gold deposit, in altered Lorrain quartzite, extends to a depth of 900 feet. Flag proposes to drill an exploratory drill hole, as announced, to explore the Jess Lake gold deposit to a depth of 2000 feet. Flag has previously reported the ubiquitous pressure of nickel-bearing sulfides and chalcopyrite in pyrite-rich quartz veins at Colbalt Hill. To further explore the mineralization, a ground magnetic and VLF survey is being completed north of the small shaft at Cobalt Hill, on ground, which has never been explored. Mackelcan Township is located in the northern sector of Flag's 70,00 acre holdings in the Wanapitei Anomaly.
