I vote for acquisition on the come...a shelf registration is just that...a shelf registration. Shelf filing removes the association of filing with rumors of buyout of smaller fish...at least that is my experience. I wouldn't rule out "hedge troubles" however, since they, like others mark their derivs to market (Sinclair used 5 minute M2M), and since they have enormous reserves, I lean more to the former "guess" than to the latter one. gold & platinum recycling_tutor mailto:goldtutor@aol.com
